Pre & Post Care

• Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 7 days prior to treatment
• Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily if outdoors

Do NOT treat if you have:

• Irritated, infected, sunburned, or broken skin
• Cold sores, rashes, or active acne in the treatment area (notify provider)

Discontinue the following 3–5 days prior:

• Retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, etc.)
• Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs)
• Beta hydroxy acids (BHAs)
• Benzoyl peroxide
• Exfoliating products

Avoid scheduling within 2 weeks of:

• Chemical peels
• Microneedling
• Laser treatments in the same area

Arrive with clean skin:

• No makeup
• No lotion, sunscreen, or fragrance

Inform your provider if you are taking:

• Blood thinners
• Isotretinoin (Accutane)
• Any medication that may affect healing or increase sensitivity

• Do NOT pick, scratch, or rub the treated area
• Allow scabs or crusts to fall off naturally
• Gently cleanse with:
• Mild soap
• Lukewarm water
• Pat dry with a clean towel

• Soaking the area (baths, hot tubs, saunas)
• Swimming for at least 48 hours
• Makeup on treated area until fully healed
• Alcohol-based or exfoliating products until scabbing resolves

• Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline:
• 1–2 times daily until healed

• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks
• Use SPF 30+ daily once healing allows

• Avoid other procedures (laser, peels, microneedling) on the same area until fully healed
• Follow-up treatments may be recommended for best results
