Pre-Care Instructions

BBL (BroadBand Light) Treatment Guide

To ensure safe treatment and optimal results, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:

  • Inform your provider if you have taken Accutane within the past 6 months.
  • Disclose any medications or medical conditions that may:
  • Increase sensitivity to light
  • Affect healing
  • Thin your blood
  • Notify your provider if you have a history of cold sores/herpes near the treatment area (preventative medication may be required).
  • Do not schedule treatment if you have:
  • Active cold sores
  • Open wounds
  • Irritated or infected skin

  • Arrive with clean, dry skin:
  • No makeup
  • No skincare products
  • Avoid Botox
  • fillers
  • Sculptra, or
  • Kybella for at least 1 week prior.
  • Shave treatment areas with coarse hair before your appointment.
  • Avoid sunless/self-tanner for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
  • Inform your provider of any additional skin concerns or conditions prior to booking.

Post-Care Instructions

Proper aftercare is essential for healing and achieving the best results:

First 24-48 Hours

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 24 hours.
  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
  • Do not engage in activities that raise body temperature for 48 hours (e.g., exercise, saunas, hot tubs).

General Care First Week

  • Use a gentle cleanser twice daily.
  • Avoid:
  • Scrubbing or exfoliating
  • Harsh skincare products

What To Expect

  • Darkening of pigmentation/brown spots is normal:

  • Body: may take up to 2 weeks
